With Clint’s fingers slotted through his, Bruce feels like he can do anything; it’s home and it’s nice, and it’s comfortable–as horribly cliche as all of those sound.
Clint looks at Bruce, and just fucking beams at him, his fingers twitching against his own in a way that makes Bruce realize that Clint’s just as nervous as he is. Bruce isn’t walking in alone, Clint’s doing this as well, has been there every step of the way, and has tried to fix every single fault Bruce has found with this before going into it.
He wants Bruce to be happy, because that’s what two people in serious relationships do, is sacrifice as much as they take. Bruce has always thought that Clint gives more than anything, but he’s never been much of a taker, either.
Clint might just actually be perfect, but then again Bruce has always been, and will always be, biased.
There’s a throat being cleared behind him, and Bruce looks up, blushes bright red as he always does, which makes Clint’s smile broaden if at all possible.
“I said, Mr. Barton, that you may kiss your groom.”
And he does.
